Sweet Chocolate Donuts Recipe
These Sweet Chocolate Donuts are a delicious and simple breakfast or dessert treat. The donuts are moist and fluffy, and the chocolate flavor is rich and decadent. They're ideal for sharing with friends and family or for enjoying alone.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 25 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
- Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until they are just combined.
- Incorporate the chocolate chips.
- Fill each cavity of a greased donut pan about 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake the donuts for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
- Allow a few minutes for the donuts to cool before removing them from the pan.
- Serve warm or at room temperature, topped with powdered sugar or chocolate glaze if desired.
