These classic donuts are made from a simple and delicious vanilla cake batter. They're baked rather than fried, and they're dusted with powdered sugar and colorful sprinkles. They're ideal for breakfast, dessert or whenever you're craving something sweet.

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350° F.
- (175 degrees C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
- Stir together the wet and dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fill each well in a greased donut pan about 3/4 full with the batter.
- Bake the donuts for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Sift the powdered sugar into a shallow bowl while the donuts cool.
- Turn each donut in the powdered sugar to coat completely.
- Sprinkle rainbow sprinkles on top of each donut and serve immediately.
