Chocolate Doughnut with Sprinkles Recipe

These chocolate doughnuts are ideal for any occasion, from a birthday party to a lazy weekend breakfast. Sprinkles add a festive and colorful touch to these traditional treats.

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 12 minutes
  • Total Time: 27 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  • Cooking spray should be used to grease a doughnut pan.
  • Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Stir together the wet and dry ingredients until just combined.
  • Fill each doughnut mould about two-thirds full with the batter.
  • Sprinkle the sprinkles on top of each mould's batter.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre of a doughnut comes out clean.
  • Allow the doughnuts to cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
