Old Fashioned Donuts Recipe

  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Whisk together the sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl.
  • Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a separate bowl.
  • Alternately add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until everything is just combined.
  • Scoop the batter into a piping bag or zip-top bag and cut a small opening in one corner.
  • Fill each donut mould about 3/4 full with batter from a greased donut pan.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  • Allow the donuts to cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Serve and have fun.
